Molitor Hôtel & Spa Paris1 / 8

The famous one. Molitor is the 1929 swimming palace where the bikini debuted, reborn as a hotel with one of the largest spas in Europe. Clarins runs it: saunas in each changing room, three hammams, and the two listed art deco pools, the summer one open to the sky. The heat is part of a bathing circuit rather than the star, which is very Paris. Book spa access with the room; the pools alone justify the trip to the 16th.
