ESPA Life at Corinthia is, for my money, the most complete hotel spa in London — four floors of it, including an amber crystal sauna that glows like the inside of a lantern, multiple steam experiences, ice fountains, vitality pools, and even sleep pods for the truly committed. It's the kind of place where you arrive for an hour and leave three hours later, mildly disoriented and deeply relaxed. The hotel above is grand in the proper Whitehall sense — high ceilings, a famous chandelier, big comfortable rooms. If you want the widest range of heat and contrast experiences under one roof, with the space to actually move between them at leisure, this is the one.
